Chapter 2 was kinda hard to plan...
I wanted to be regular on chapter' s number of pages (I wanted the chapters to be
30 each times, but...), I guess it' s impossible to plan on ahead...
A chapter ends when it ends, no helping....
There may be longer or shorter chapter in the future depending on the scenes.
This chapter' s main purpose is to show a little about the main characters
(Ebony and Kei)' s environment. We learn a bit about their family situations.
The story is about Ebony, but it' s also nice to show that the people in her
environment have a life that doesn' t revolve around her all the time.
I' m also trying to include lots of characters in Ebony' s life, by making the circle bigger...
like in real life, even if they' ll be only secondary characters or we won' t see much of them,
they' re still in the story and around the characters' s environment.
Shantell is a tiny and intelligent girl. I wasn' t sure about including her in the story at first.
We won' t see much of her for now. I didn' t know what to call her... I wanted a name that
doesn' t end with "i" or "a", I wanted something more unusual, then I remember that
when I was in High School, there was this smart girl from my French class and her name
was Shantell (I don' t know how she spelled her name though). She was a model student.
That' s how I came to use her name. I originally wanted the spelling to be "Chantelle"
but since I wasn' t sure it existed spelled like that, I changed it to "Shantell", and that exists.
I think this name suits her quite well. Shantell and Jared weren' t created with thoughts
and planning. right when I drew the page they were drawn quite naturally and became characters.
That' s nice. Not having to plan things like that.
Finally, Ebony and Kei meet again in the end of the chapter... It' s hard to make them meet
because they' re not from the same school... But it will happen...
