Chapter 3 Notes

Another chapter just ended. It was a long one for me. I' m getting used to this.
The satisfation of finishing something is good, no matter what it is.
You may have noticed a change in the my drawing lines. I got a tablet.
I started using it in page 10 and on. It' s a little hard to control at first. I personally think
I did a lousy job on the lines in page 14. They are kinda big for small images... I know.
So, you notice all my line tests, and my lousy tablet mastery in pages 10 and a few after that.
It was all over the place... Well before that, I used to draw on paper and scanned my pages onto my computer. Then there were lots of problems with the lines because they weren' t clean enough.
There were also graininess problems, and a whole bunch of extra work.
I figured out it was time to get to the next level: a tablet. I put a screen protector on the tablet' s
screen. It' s very slippery and hard to make neat lines, but I get them done after a few essays.

I think a lot of people are like Ebony. We sometimes get upset over the smallest thing
and we might not really know it then we keep thinking about it, though we don' t think it' s a big deal.

Kei is such a nice person. (though he always gives me difficulties when drawing him!)
There' s a lot to learn about him. But asking Ebony to be his friend is something he doesn' t
normally do. She made an impression on him by saying simple things yet very unexpected.
I guess He does unexpected things too sometimes. As the story goes on we will learn more about
the characters and we may understand their way of thinking or living, even their actions or feelings.
I changed the script in page 13 many times, I wasn' t sure what Kei should say, and many times
what I wrote didn' t fit his character or was too much, but I finally found the perfect words.
They make the scene true without pushing it too far. They are still strangers to each other after all. Well, script is always important, if the wrong words are used it could change everthing, even the character' s personality. So I' m always very careful about that.
The last page really made me think a lot. I wanted to end the chapter in a positive aspect.
It' s kinda weird. It makes me feel hopeful and a little nostalgic.
Ebony was a thin and cute little girl. She only took the weight when she was around 11 or something.
It' s hard to build up characters relationship. There' s gotta lots of scenes and encounters to make it real, believable and true. Hope I' m doing a good job...
I' m eating some Pocky (the chocolate stick Ebony eats all the time).
The strawberry ones are great too.
Chocolates are so sweet! Next is chapter 4: Sweets.
